Cave discovery...
Searching for treasure in many holes in the limestone rocks in Little Carpathians led to discovery of an only one accessible cave Driny. The memorial plaque located at the entrance into the cave reveals the names of its finders - Ján Banič and Imrich Vajsábl who roped down the cave chimney deep 15 m and bride only 1 m in 1929.

Natural conditions...

The cave Driny is classified as a rift cave created by water seeping through a rift system into the underground. An interesting system of narrow rift corridors (Collaborators’ corridor, Beňovský corridor, Corridor of hopes) and a system of not big hall spaces (Slovak Speleology Association Hall) were created in this way. They are 680 m long. Dripstone curtains decorate this cave with an interesting scalloped edging, pagoda stalagmites, various forms of stalactites and sinter ponds. The most beautiful karst structure in the cave bears the name Elephant's ears and it is a unique of its kind in Slovakia.
